I've been thinking over the last week.. ( dangerous pastime for me )... I'm still not gaining weight.. and my SPD is non-existent now, which is really odd...

So I got to thinking that maybe she isn't growing properly, thus the no weightgain, and no pressure on my pelvis..

So I popped in to see the mw today, just to ask her advice...

I've been measuring about 2cms (weeks) bigger in fundal height throughout the pregnancy. Last measurement was 31cms.....
Today, I measured 29 !! So I've gone from measuring 2 over, to 2 under. Then she felt my bump, and said that she can't feel any of Mia at the bottom of my bump... she should be filling my bump by now... She has decided that I need to go for a growth scan. I'm really worried now, and I'm starting to feel convinced that there is going to be something wrong....

Aw hun....I know how you feel i got my growth scan tomorrow ( was ment to be tuesday but got moved)

Anyway try to think postive, she could just be lying funny. Have they gave you a date for your scan?? XXX

No date yet... she just took one of my stickers, and said she'll organise it. Are you measuring small too

Try not to worry if thats possible and hopefully little Mia will be fine :-) I was measuring just over up until week 28 and since then have been measuring a little bit small, I'm now 39+4 and measuring 36 but my midwife assured me that all is well. Fundal height is only a guideline and varies a lot from person to person, also lots of babies have a final growth spurt in your last few weeks or so, so maybe she will catch up again. Good luck with the scan, I hope both of you are ok x

good luck hun.... hope evrything is fine!!! More often than not everything is for ladies who go for growth scans and at least you can see lil Mia again!!!

Yip at my 29 week appointment i was only measuring 26 so booked me in for growth scan and if im still measuring small at my 32 week appointment will book me in for another....

But as my OH says at least there keeping an eye on it.

Im sure little MIA is fine and just being stubborn and lying funny that why M/w couldnt feel her..... XXXX

Thanks. I'm really really paranoid about the whole anaphylactic (sp?) shock a couple of weeks ago, and what the piriton shot did too.... I know they've sadi that it's fine to have it, but I can't help but worry. And if I had such a huge reaction, what's to say that Mia didn't suffer the same thing ??? She is very active, so that's good.

My bump appeared to shrink (fundal measurement went down by 1cm but they'd always been ok before) when I was 35 weeks, and the midwife said that my bump was still looking small. She sent me for a growth scan and I was really worried, but when I had the scan at 36 weeks Sam was already estimated to be 6lb 10oz (and was 8lb 13oz when he was born!)

I think they often find it quite hard to feel exactly where they are from feeling your bump too - my friend was told her LO was breech last week only to find that she was the right way up and engaged just days later at a scan, and when I was in labour the midwives couldn't agree which side Sam's back was on until I told them where his feet were! So I really wouldn't worry too much (easier said than done, I know)
