I couldn't get into Parent Craft classes there were no spaces left!! But at the end of the month i'm going to an hour long active birth class at the midwife led unit where i hope to have bubs. After that i have a breast feeding class. Hope i am not missing out on too much by not being able to attend the parent craft ones.

I thought that you goto 3 or 4 and go through all the breathing etc. Do you only get one lesson????

I started mine at 32 weeks and I've got my last one tomorrow night at 36wks.

They were with the NCT - 4 Wednesday nights for 2 hours, one full day and one women-only Friday morning.

They've been great, I'd really recommend them, if you can afford the £175!!!

Normally you do. As i couldn't get into the Parent Craft ones i'm going to one thats slightly different in the hope that i can have my water birth and also a natural birth as possible. I won't get any info etc on epis cos they aren't done in the midwife led unit.

Its bad when you have to pay extra for everything, the NHS is rubbish sometimes!

In Berks we get 4 x 2 hours - 2 classes on birth, 1 on feeding and 1 physio (breathing and positions).

My first class was two weeks ago and my last one is mid August. I had to sign up for them in May!

Hope this helps

I'm not going to any. NCT ones were far too expensive. Hope you get something sorted.

My MW mentioned something about them when she visited last week so hopefully when she comes next week she might have booked me into one, but with how close it is now I don't know if there would be any with any room! She also told me about a breastfeeding support group at the Children's Centre up the road so once I finish work I'm going to go and look into that
