Question

"contractions"

Can somebody please tell me, is a contraction ONLY when your uterus gets hard? I get Braxton hicks alot, so I have an idea of what those contractions are but when I'm dialating it doesn't feel like this, more like CONSTANT diarrhea/period pains that are ABSOLOUTELY HORRIBLE. They don't go away at all.
I know this is when I'm dialating because I tend to lose pieces of my plug when this happens.

So, is labour really like getting CONTRACTIONS or constant period pains? Or are constant period pains contractions? Confused.

Sweetie, when is your next doctor's appointment? Be interesting to see what your gynecologist says about your progress!

Tomorrow, I'm hoping he will do an internal but it's not likely seeing as I asked him for one last time and he said they started that around 39 weeks.. Hopefully if I tell him I had my 'show' he will though!

My next isn't until thursday... when I told OH what was going on this morning he was all excited and wanted me to call the doctors office and let them know. I pointed out that it was a bit early to do that I thought.

I'm interested on this answer too... I have yet to even have braxton hicks, which i'm sure I should be thanking the stars about.

Good luck at the doctors today. If you have had your show there's a good chance he may do an internal.
