Tell them your situation and ask them to do a calculation on you and your partner whilst you are working, then ask them to do the calculation on you been on maternity and your partner still working, This is what she did for me this morning. They tell you on the phone there and then if you are intitled.

Juts pop in & ask for the Sure Start Maternity Grant Form

You can apply 11 weeks before your due date & up to 3 months after the baby is born

It's a straight forward form that just needs to be counter signed by your midwife/health professional

ok got a letter in the post this morning midwife forgot to tick one box on the back of form, one bloody box!!!!!

do you think i should wait two weeks and let her tick the box or should i just tick it myself and send it back off..

it only a tick!!!!!
