Anyone know what this feeling is?

I'm a bit nervous this morning coz the bottom of my bump is all tight and sore. It's a bit like I've put my belt on too tight. It doesn't come and go - been constant for a couple of hours now.

I've not phoned hubby yet as I don't want to worry him and I'm at work which is about 90mins from home (and 60mins from hosipital). It's not unbearable at all - I'm just working as usual at the moment.

What do you ladies think it could be, and what do you think I should do?

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply.

Baby had hiccups a couple of hours ago and was wiggling lots then. He's a bit quieter now but still giving me the odd prod.

poor you. i hope your okay. i am not sure what your pain is either. i have been getting really tight cramps on and off all day today at the bottom of my bump (not sure if they are contractions or braxton hicks). i also have back ache!

could the pain be your beanie engaging? i know when my baby was engaging i was in a lot of pain that just lingered....

could you phone the midwife unit and ask for their advice and perhaps they will see you?

hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Christine

My feeling is also that it might be baby engaging, though it's still very early (not 32 weeks yet). I haven't noticed any big movements in that direction but there is definately more pressure down there than usual and I have been getting lots of prods in my pelvis for the last week. It's not really painful though, just uncomfortable and (as I'm a habitual worrier) worrying. I have a GP appointment on Wednesday first thing anyway - I'm just hoping the feeling goes away soon.

Because ur getting on in your pregnancy now it could just be really bad braxton hicks!

Take a break lie down if you can and see if that helps also if you do get worried call your midwife

my beanie started engaging at 32 weeks which i thought was rather early too. beanie is now 3/5ths engaged. i was in a lot of pain and felt like the baby was going to drop out of me, i needed the loo more than ever and i found breathing a lot easier too! so it could be that your baby is engaging!

it's natural to worry - i worry about everything and anything!

good luck with the doctor.

Maybe it is then - I've not been able to stop going to the loo either
Baby is still a bit too friendly with my ribs though ()
