Had my hospital tour with hubby today

Hey guys had my hospital tour at dorchester today the maternity unit was really nice all the bedrooms are huge, it was really helpful to go and see what it was like not just for me but for hubby as well, only problem was we are planning a waterbirth and someone was giving birth at the time so we didnt get to see it(that was the main reason for going nevermind). when they told us that they have an ice machine I was overjoyed its been my only real craving the whole way through pregnancy so great news I can chomp through loads of the stuff. I would advise anyone especially first timers defo to go and have a tour its made me feel much more at ease knowing where Im going and what it looks like

Glad to hear it was all so well!

I got a pretty good tour at 20 weeks when I was hospitalized but now you got me all intrigued....might take a peak myself!

I'm so jealous!

My "Hospital Tour" takes place in my last anti-natal class where we look at slides with pictures of the ward!!
We dont get a real tour for fear of spreading infection..

I suppose its fair enough but I still want a proper looksy!

Im not getting one so quite scary not knowing where im going. With my first i had a bleed at 21 weeks so whilst i was there they shown me round then so was ok. I might ask my midwife see if one can be arranged. Glad you had a good tour round

When i went on my tour with OH i almost fainted half way thru so didnt get to see it all so i wana go again but he wont come with me he hates hospitals (nices hes showing support lol)
i really want a water birth but couldnt see the pool last time someone was in it so i hope i get lucky when he comes it will be free lol
