2cm dilated/ using ball??

I have been 2cm dilated for 8 days now I keep getting pains but before they become regular & strong they go away . My MW told me to try using a stability/exercise ball. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips on the best way to sit/bounce/rock on it to get LO moving??

I once read a post on here about D.I.Y sweeps If anyone knows anything about doing that I would be interested

Thanks

Oooh... it's sounds really tricky to do anything yourself down there... let alone get you digits right up there for a sweep !!!
I really wouldn't recommend it, as the mw knows what she's feeling for, and you may unknowingly introduce infection.
I've never even heard of anyone doing it themselves actually...

Hope it happens soon for you

well I've completely failed to get my baby to engage but I think that just moving your hips on the ball is meant to help things. I'd say rocking back and forth and rotating (I'm sure someone got their baby to engage by rotating) your hips would help. I feel like my little pickle head butts my bone more when I do those things so any obedient baby might engage from those movements!

we had a session with the maternity physio last week and she said to use it to either lean over onto or to sit on and rock your hips on - side to side or front to back...

she said sitting on it is a good position to encourage baby down further. Leaning over it is suppost to take the pressure off your back and ease (labour) pains
