I'm Currently Feeling:  | Birth Annoucement - Alexander Lucas
Well I've had a rough few days so its taken me a while to get back on here.
I was booked in for c-section on 4 July but waters broke 8.20am on 3 July and Alexander Lucas Taylor was born at 11.15am via c-section - bum first and weed striaght on the surgeon!
He weighed in at 8lb 15oz which was marked as high for his gestation of 39 weeks exactely.
I was discharged on the sunday following the c-section and seemed to be feeding Alexander constantly, the midwife visited yesterday and he had lost more than 10% of his birth weight and is now 7lb 12oz so they suggested topping him up with a bottle after each feed. He was permantley attached to my breasts!
So we did that yesterday and finally managed to get some sleep last night, he's currently up stairs asleep in his moses basket with Daddy sleeping too.
His Daddy has been wonderful doing everything for me as not only am I sore from the section but Alexander wouldn't let me alone.
The midwife is due around again today to check his progress but I have a feeling my breast milk is not going to keep up. They've said because he's so big and I'm a small person it will be difficult so we are taking each day as it comes.
