I'm Currently Feeling: | Has Anyone Had a Disappointing 4D Scan? Hiya Girlies
I have mine booked for next Saturday but I am starting to panic that it wont be everything I want it to be! Baby will probably hide and we wont find out what it is, and I've been watching videos on youtube of them and there are alot of really blurry ones where you just get wee glimpses of LO's face.
Ours is costing £195 so i want it to go well! I think as long as I get a good look at it's face and find out what we are having i will be happy!
It's BabyBond in Glasgow that we are going to and they have assured me that if they don't get good pictures they will send us away for a walk and some chocolate and if that still doesn't work we can reschedule.
I've seen alot of positive feedback on them on these forums, but has anyone been unhappy with the results? |

| Ours didn't come out as clearly as we hoped but we left it a little too late (36 weeks). They were great though and seeing our baby was magical!
Don't worry im sure you will love it |

Don't worry about it.
They're right, they will reschedule if your baby is turned on her stomach or is turned in an awkward position.
Before they result to that decision, they will make you drink juice, walk around, lay on your side, cough etc...
I had a great session. Mines was for 15min. and my baby girl started turning around at 13mins, so I got my time and money's worth.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Mine was in the sonographers oppinion 'disappointing' - but we still got to see bits of her little face so we were happy and weren't charged for our dvd etc... one thing i will say though is eat something sugary and drink full fat fizzy drink about an hour leading upto you going in - that is what i've been advised to do next time good luck & i'm sure it will be fine xxxxx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | No, both of mine at 16 weeks and 29 weeks were fabulous. It was my normal 20 week scan that sucked.
Irregardless, most if not all 3D scan clinics will have you come back for another visit for free if you are not satisfied. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My bub decided to keep her head right down in my hip and covered her face with her hand the whole time. But I only really wanted to go for the scan to ensure it actually is a girl so it wasn't disapointing really. They offered for us to go back a few weeks later for free though. Probably would've but the scan was 2hrs away from where we live. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I´m lucky in that my doctors offer the 4D scan, so I don´t have to make an appt to go elsewhere. This would have been great, had my LO cooperated each time!! He has either had his hands in front of his face, hidden behind the placenta or umbilical cord, or plain simply turned away - the little bugger. I can´t fault my doctors, each time I´ve been there since about the 26th week, she´s had an attempt at getting a decent picture for me but it aint happened - the downside of having it done at the normal doc´s surgery, is the time factor, so once my appt for that week is up, thats it.
I was a bit disappointed at first, but then we thought, well he´s saved us 50euros and we´ll see him soon (hopefully unless we´re kept waiting some more!). | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | It was really magical to me....not disappointing in the slightest!
They will reschedule if your baby hides so no worries there! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i didn't get one as i didn't want to know the sex of beanie - kind of regret it now (not the gender bit as i want a surprise) cos i would have loved a wee dvd and such close up images.
i hope you enjoy your scan!
Christine
