Blood

I had to go into hospital early this morning as when I went to the loo @ 3am, after I wiped there was a tiny bit of fresh blood!
It was only the once & I didnt have any pains or anything but after calling the labour ward they said i should come in for a check up..

Checked baby on the monitor & everything is fine, I had to have a 'specular'?! (where they put this plastic funnel thing up u to see inside) and said thats fine too- i wasnt in labour..

They sent me home at 6.45am & said the blood could have been due to a muscle stretch/strain or maybe something external but nothing to worry about...

Has anyone else had this? I am still slightly worried (but then i am the world's biggest worrier!)

I had this a few days ago and popped a post up... wasn't brave enough to go in the labour ward tho

It happened to every time i went for a wee over the course of two days. Was secretly hoping i had missed my plug coming away or it was about to but nothing!

Try not to worry about it hun... if it gets to be a lot of blood or happens again then phone the midwife, thats what they are there for right

Rach I also like u may have ignored but what was concerning me was that I hadnt felt movements since I went to sleep (around midnite) and nothing I was doing could make bubs move!!

So have u spoken to anyone about it?

Did you tell the midwives that? They would normally put you on a CTG (?) machine to check the baby's movements. I went on it a few weeks ago as i haven't felt bubs move all day and as soon as they plugged me in, she was on one.

I saw the midwife yesterday for my 39 wk appt. and she said that if there is any more blood then i am to go to the labour ward to get an internal. If it wasn't labour (which mine obviously wasn't) then it could be anything. A small paper cut from tissue or something.

I will definately go back tho if i see anymore.

Have you felt anything since hun?
Try a bath or a really cold drink like Coke. Even put a bag of cold peas against your belly. If nothing then go back and get checked out sweetie.

Hey Rach
Yes they did put me on the ctg & monitor baby & they said everything is ok (thank god)
Mine was the same- no movements when I was trying to disturb bubs but as soon as they put the monitor on- there were movements! cheeky thing!!
