Thanks, MervsMum. £20 sounds a bargain! Which NHS area are you? It'd be good to share that information with others!

BTW, I'm a supporter of the charity Group B Strep Support (my second child had GBS) - they have loads of information on their website, both about the test and where to get it. Don't see anything on there about which NHS trusts offer the proper test for Strep B in pregnancy though - might suggest it: I'm sure other mums would find it interesting too!

I am in Calderdale Trust which is in West Yorkshire. I got the impression from the
m/w that this a relatively new thing.

i never had test and found out 4 days after having jack i had it (found it inurine from cathetra) we never had any treatment but did end up coming out the sun roof x we are both ok but would have had it if i knew about it xx

I didn't have the test done when i had my son and neither of us had any problems. Don't know much about it though, could i be a carrier now?
