Hi all,

Baby is due on saturday and I am desperate for him to arrive now. My OH and I have been trying everything to get him moving - including lots of sex - however when we do I end up with period like backpain about 10 mins after for an hour or so. On sunday, I went swimming afterwards and the pains were getting quite strong and I think I had mild contractions which I assumed were good signs but it has suddenly occurred to me today that maybe it is not a good sign at all, especially as they go away and don't lead to labour??

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Is this period like pain common in the lower back?

Forgot to say that on sunday - it lasted for about 8 hours or so but then gradually went off! So confused.

I think it's pretty common to have and is a sign that labor is on it's way.
