I'm Currently Feeling: | I haven't made any plans as such, as I have no idea how the pain will affect me.... Must admit, I'm not too keen on the epidural, but only because I have a pretty big fear of needles.
But I intend to keep an open mind.... that way, I can't have any regrets afterwards. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I´ve got no idea how strong the pains will be, or whether I´ll manage without pain relief or not, so I´m going in with an open mind.
Ideally a water birth would be nice, but I´m not going to beat myself up if at some point I scream out "just gimmee the drugs!" | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Im gonna go with whatever feels right at the time. I was hoping for a water birth but thats looking unlikely now. So prob start with gas and air and maybe an epi if things get really bad.
As for the birth plan, ive not written one really but have downloaded the one off boots parenting club. It just asks a few questions about your preferences so they know what you want without having to read a whole essay! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Really really scared stiff of needles, so will try on gas and air, if all else fails i may have to have pethadine, but desperatly do not want an epidural

| Im having an epidural, make no mistake! I have had one natural birth and one with epidural. I was scared of needles too, but after experiencing birth au naturel I didn't care about the damn needle, second birth was a lot less painful, the most painful part was actually when they peeled the tape (that held the tube in place) off my back afterwards. | | | | Status: Offline

| A mobile birth is important to me so I'm hoping I'll manage without an epi - but I'm not gonna give myself a hard time if I need one.
I've got myself a TENs machine and will be sucking on the gas n air. Pethidine would be my first choice for a stronger drug.
I guess it depends how long things take and how intense things get.
Scary stuff huh! |
