Severe pains

I'm due any day now but have been suffering from severe cramping pains for 4 days. Very irregular pains but so intense. My appetite has plummeted and the pains are making me feel sick. As they are irregular they can't be labour pains, I've researched the pains and have come to the conclusion they are Braxton Hicks. Can Braxton Hicks be so painful? Does anyone any ideas?

i've had these, normally when i'm in bed. i'm stuck betwenn baby enagaing deeper and braxton hicks. it feels like the first period i ever had, and the worst period i ever had...all rolled into one. i was timeing them last night, but got bored and fell asleep, so they can't be labour pains!!! (knowing me i would be the first person to sleep through their own labour!! (chance'd be a fine thing)

i've been getting pains too! it is like cramping all over my bump and boy they hurt! i haven't a clue what they are. midwife is coming out tomorrow to check bp and urine so i will mention it to her then. there doesn't appear to be a pattern to the pains and i have no discharge. i am thinking braxton hicks but not sure! i was going to go shopping today but don't think i will bother now as i am in pain

hope you feel better soon.

it must be the stage that we're at girls then, because i'm very achy in the night and i do itch today!!! it's not like i thought it would be though. i think the actual contractions will feel different?? my bump is almost always hard, except when i type that, i felt it and it felt really squishy!!!! i know i've posted on other threads about not being ready to meet my baby yet,,,and i'm still not ready yet BUT i can see how it must get very tedious and painful in the last three weeks!! chins up eh??

I'm not 100% sure, but I would say it's probably just bubs head engaging and catching on a nerve and as for the discharge, it's quite common for it to increase in the last few weeks....

...but if you're really worried, give your MW a call to be sure.

Sorry i can't be of more help hun.
