I'm getting some really weird feelings down there...
I can feel a slight pressure & have been weeing like mad today- so perhaps u are right about bubs catching a nerve!

Also I thought the movement gets slow towards end of pregnancy??
my lo had the hiccups a few mins ago & was moving like crazy!!

As you probably know, I went to the hospital last night to be checked over as I hadn't felt LO move all day...

The midwife told me (as did the one at our antenatal class) that the whole "baby's movements slow before labour" is a complete myth and that you should still be feeling a regular pattern of movements right up til "D-Day"!!

Like I say, if you're worried, just call your MW for a quick chat?

Not real sure hun. But a few ideas: like others have said, baby engaging. But also (if memory serves me right), I had those with my first at around this time and it was my cervix starting to dialate/efface (before you get excited, I was dialated 1-2 cm and partially effaced for weeks). Also, which part is hurting...could it be a urinary infection?

Angelica- Saw this on babycentre.uk.com yesterday. It's the description for what happens at 36 weeks:

You may begin to feel increased pressure in your lower abdomen and notice that your baby is gradually dropping. This is called lightening or engagement and your lungs and stomach will finally get a chance to stretch a bit, so breathing and eating become easier. However, walking may become increasingly uncomfortable - some women even say it feels as if the baby is going to fall out. (Don't worry, it can't happen.) You may feel as if you need to go for a wee all the time however. Practising your pelvic floor exercises can help.

Hope that helps give you reassurance.

This is me except that my back starts to kill me and then my tummy starts to hurt to the point of being sick.

I have heard Braxton Hicks are often as painful as the real ones, it's just that they are irregular and eventually stop instead of developing a pattern. Although I will say I have been having what I call BH for months now. But the other day I did too much gardening and suddenly had this huge, painful contraction and thought "Cripes, if this is what the real thing feels like I'm in for it!!"

It was very different. What I have been calling BH, while somewhat painful, have felt manageable. The one I had after gardening almost took my breath away and really almost felt like all the muscles toward the top of my stomach bearing down on baby. I had a second one a few minutes after, but after lying down and drinking some water it all stopped.
