I'm back.... feeling like a div!

Had to wait for about half an hour before we were seen, but then they decided to assess me in an actual delivery room rather than the assessment room for some unknown reason?!! (Was a bit freaky being in the room I'm gonna end up in soon!)

Saw the most lovely student midwife... she had a good feel of my tum then got the doppler out and found a nice strong heartbeat straight away!! (Found it a struggle not to cry I tell ya!)

My BP was up a bit at 156/87, but no doubt due to the fact I was pretty scared by that point! My urine was clear - good! Then they hooked me up to a CTG monitor for half an hour... and no sooner had they strapped the thing to me, the little madam started bopping around!!!! I could have died of embarrassment!! I felt terrible that I was wasting their time when they were crazy busy!

But they were all so reassuring and kept saying we'd done the right thing by going in to be checked and said if I'm concerned again at anytime, I mustn't hesitate to call them again.

So all in all, Beany's fine. The CTG showed me having some pretty regular and rather strong Braxton Hicks (if anyone understands: the toco number went from 9 to 55 for about a minute then back down again, and that happened 3 times while I was on the monitor?).

Thanks for all your support girls.... like I say, I'm feeling rather silly now, and had a good cry when we got home... but so relieved that everything's ok!!
