I'm Currently Feeling: | I haven't had steroids for that, but I do have rheumatoid arthritis and had to have a steroid injection when my baby was just 8 weeks. My consultant said that steroids are absolutely fine so if you're at all worried, don't be.... I was worried that my baby'd look like Geoff Capes but he's fine!!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had a steroid injection when I went into premature labour with my 3rd son at 29 weeks luckly I went onto full term.
Steroid injections will help the babies lungs to mature more quickly if they are born premature, I think I was told it would take 24 hours to take effect. It wont harm baby even if you go to full term.
I hadnt packed my hospital case either and it hadnt crossed my mind thay I could be in premature labour, but went to hospital to get cheked out and expecting to get home a few hours later, for them to kept me in for a week (I was in premature labour on and off for 3 days).
I hope everything goes well and you make it to full term. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I too had the steroid injections at 19.5 weeks. That was the scariest time in my life, but thanks to modern medicine and a lot of rest, baby is officially full term and healthy as can be. I hope everything works out for you. |
