full moon and labor

do you think its true?

when i went for my parentcraft class the midwives were saying about the labor ward/delivery suite is always really busy when there is a full moon.

its all ment to be to do with gravity.

do you think its true that when its a full moon it brings on labor.?

the full moon this month is on 18th and im due on 31st.

could my baby be coming early.

Got told this as well at my ante natal class - but the midwife also said that in her experience she´s noticed more births happening during thunderstorms - so check out your local weatherforecast!

thats what i was just thinking about if i go into labour on the 18th the delivery suite might be busy.
and it will be even worse coz the hospital im going to are having the delivery suite refurbished and some of the rooms are closed.
im hoping the birthing pool is free but when i saw midwife on friday she said that they are using that room even if the person isnt using the pool coz some rooms are closed.
please please be free birthing pool room x x x

I think that it can really only have an effect if you are almost on your way anyway, like most other things that trigger labour, the body is probably ready and just needs a kick into action! I am due 15th August and the next full moon after July is 16th. I've been hoping that it will mean that I wont go overdue, but then again, I don't wont to be giving birth in a corridor cause all the rooms are full!
