**PLS READ GD LADIES** Gestational Diabetes

Thought I'd start a new thread on this as the other one was getting a bit long.

The docs have decided that my results were slightly high & are treating me as someone with gd.

They have given me a monitoring machine & I have to check my blood sugar levels until my appt next fri.

Anyway i have been testing since fri & so far out of 8 results 2 are slightly higher than they should be..

1 is 7.6 (where max should have been 7.5)
1 is 5.9 (where max should have been 5.5)

Do u think this is cause for concern??

Will the docs take further action??

I am so worried & stressed out now!!!!!!

i was allowed water during the fasting. It said on my guidance letter i could have "small sips" while i wasnt allowed to eat. They cant expect you to go 12 hours without water.

hi I've got my GTT on Thursday. I'm dreading it as I'm needle phobic! I've been tryiong not to eat sweet stuff but it seems like that's what I want most. I was definitely a savoury person before I got pregnant but now i crave chocolate! Hope this isn't a bad sign!!!!!

It says on my destructions that nil by mouth from 9pm the previous evening the test unless medication is necessary which can be taken with a small sip of water.
