Tens machines

Trying to get prepared for the birth now, midwife etc are starting to scare me a bit with all the preperation i should be doing.

they mentioned Tens machines. Anyone have any advice on these, how good they are and any advice on how to use them to be the most effective.

Would love if anyone has any advice on which are the best - and whether its worth picking one up on ebay or just hiring?

Thanks

I don't know much about them but do know a few girls who have used them. Hopefully one of them can give you better info than I can

I hired mine from Boots both times, and will again this time.

You can use it any time you like... it's really good for any back pain you have, even before the labour, but it's best to use it as soon as your labour starts. It takes a while for it to build up your natural release of endorphins, so if you leave it too long, it won't be as effective.

They are fab by the way !!
