Newborn nappies

Hiya ladies, just wondering how many newborn nappies you guys have got/ or will need? I got a pack of approx 50 from a guest at my baby shower and i'm not sure if i'll need anymore or not. I don't want to have half a box left or whatever and then need the next size up, coz thats just waste...
Should I just start buying infant ones and only have the 50 newborns?

I´ve just bought a bag of 28 newborn pampers and a friend of mine advised me just to stick with that for the time being and wait and see how big my LO ends up being. Our hospital provides all the nappies we need whilst in there, so if I see that the nappies are the right size then I can always send DH to go and buy some more.

Ive got about 2 packs not sure how many is in them but a newborn needs changing around 12 times a day at frist so we are going to need loads haha

My mum said because newborns go through so many nappies the brand doesnt matter till they are abit older so im going with shop brands for now ive been told tescos own brand is really good. Im going for packs that are between 6lb-13lb

Yeah, thats the only thing i'm worried about. My family has a history of small babies anyway so fingers crossed for that, but I don't want to be totally unprepared either.

I would say that you will probably go through more than 50 newborns, cause that is only about 5 days or so worth. I have 2 40 packs of pampers, and expect to go through more than that, before switching to the next size.
