i have been having a LOT of discharge too lately - like you it isn't a thrush (i've had so many of them) or a UTI (had 2 of those!) so i am assuming it is just a normal pregnancy discharge. i am not sure if it is to do with cervix softening or not - i am not very up on these things!

i am not sure when they start doing internal examinations (not looking forward to it). i have a clinic appt on Friday so perhaps i will get one then.

I think it really depends on the area you live in and the doctor as to when/if they do internals. I had my 37 week appointment today and still haven't had an internal done.

ive also noticed an increase in discharge!! I think Vickie is right it really depends on your area!!

I think the fact its just an increase and it doesnt itch or smell she will prob say its just normal!! And will only do an internal if theres a reason too!! I dont really know though sorry!!

My OB starts doing internals around 36/37 weeks...and will continue doing them at every weekly appt until the baby is born. That is pretty standard in the US. They want to monitor the cervix and check for progress (dialation, etc.)

This means I should be getting my first one done on Monday...I am actually excited because I am hoping that things are starting to happen!! I will be sooooo bummed if I am still all sealed up

I've had an increase in discharge but only occasionally...like very third day or so? Strange. No internal yet for me.
