I don't really think I do need to be standing all the time but she insists that I am constantly on the go, otherwise it must seem like I am not working.
I did speak to one of the under managers today (cruella deville had a day off) and told him that I had emailed a few work unions for their opinions on this and if i need to I will have to go to higher up the manager chain if she doesn't back off! |
GO YOU!!!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | two bits of advice:
1) go to your HR Manager and state that you wish to lodge a complaint against your boss on the grounds of discrimination. The health of YOU AND YOUR BABY come FIRST! Screw your boss. If it continues tell them you will lodge a bulling & harasment complaint. Also tell them it is a LEGAL requirement to give you a risk assessment for your job, involving ALL aspects of it and working conditions.
2) do you get sick pay? If so, get down to your doctors/midwife and get a sick note - screw your work, they dont sound like they are worth the effort & consideration you are giving them. Tell the dr they are causing you stress and you are concerned for the health of your baby due to your working conditions.
If you can't do this due to financial reasons, tell your work they will need to do the risk assessment ASAP as you feel you can no longer complete the tasks they are expecting you to do. If THEY can not provide you with a job to do that meets your requirements and reduces any risk on a risk assessment then THEY are expected to suspend you ON FULL PAY until your maternity leave kicks in.
THE LAW PROTECTS YOU & YOUR BABY!!!!
Hope that helps |

Hope that helps | Hiya, thanks for your reply, I am considering everything you said in number 1! I just don't want to stir it all up and for her to be a total cow to me for the rest of the time I have to work, which leads me to number 2! I can't afford to take time off sick as I will only end up getting paid about £70 a week, I just need to try and not get angry and cry and confront her |

I'm Currently Feeling: | When are risk assessments usually done? I haven't had on yet!
I work in a reception class in a primary school, so you can imagine how small the chairs are that i sit on!! I think i will need to request a crane to lift me off when i get a bigger!!! My job is none stop all day and i'm expected to just carry on as usual. I've already been signed off for a week with exhaustion!! |
