| really bad reflux - any suggestions ? omg last night it was auful, Iv started getting reflux at night, but usually some Gaviscon tablets sort it out, but last night it was soooo bad I wanted to I was shattered after work and I just wanted to sleep but I had this auful burning sensation coming up my throat, and I just could't sleep.
I slept eventually, sat upright, but just wondering if you have any suggestions ?
I didnt eat anything after tea which was early, and I had two hot chocs at work, and milky drinks are meant to help, so I dont know why it was so bad last night!

I'm Currently Feeling: | I know exactly how you feel. I sleep with a bottle of Peptac (free from the dr)beside my bed. It doesn't take it away like it used to but certainly eases it. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i get this alot too... however until Sparky (i think it was) suggested it could be this I didnt know what it was!!
Just described it as a sicky feeling in my throat!! I find a large glass of milk soothes it... but not really for long
I bought some gaviscon extra the other day but so far havent used it!! Mainly cos I wake up in the middle of the night with it and Im to tired to go and get it
As the girls on my thread said... looks like its just another joy of pregnancy Im afraid |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I used to sleep half sitting up because it got so bad...found that the liquid gaviscon worked better than the tablets - got through bottles of it! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Its horrible hun - I posted a thread on this yesterday because mine has got so bad.
I highly recommend Gaviscon - I keep a bottle of it in the kitchen, one by my bed and one at work - my whole life revolves around it at the mo! I wont lie, its not very nice stuff but it works wonders!
Like sam's mum said, sleeping half sitting up (propped up on pillows) helps relieve it during the night too.
Hope it gets better for you soon

I'm Currently Feeling: | I had this so bad and my chubchub is so hairy!
Drinking lots of water seemed to help me. |

Thats how I slept last night! not the comfiest, but its the only way!
I might try some gaviscon liquid then, I never buy it becuase the last time I had it I couldnt swallow it, its horrible, I heaved and spat it all out! But I guess if it works its better than not being able to sleep. Becuase the tablets arent doing anything!
Toriaa I had it with my daughter too and she was born with a head full of hair...I wonder if its true, will be itneresting to see if this one has loads of hair aswell! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Gaviscon liquid and a glass of milk by my bed to sip on seemed to help. |
