Today, I went for a non-stress test and growth scan. I also got to sneak in and get checked by my MW.
Non-stress was once again perfect. It showed decent contractions every 6 minutes but they were just BH. They've continued ALL day 6-10 minutes apart getting stronger and a little more painful. Then they've slowed considerably in the past hour
Hopefully, it's just so everyone can get a good rest.
Growth scan showed she is 8.3 lbs, give or take 10%. This is great news. She's right on target as my DD was 8lbs and was on time. It was so good to see her again! She was curled up to my left side. Her little bottom was sticking up top left and feet sticking out of my right top side. Couldn't see her face at all. She's very low, but not engaged, which is ok, since she is my 2nd and won't engage until labor.
I'm fully 2cm dilated but she said she didn't want to do the sweep because I was already dilated?!? I didn't understand that AT ALL! but I was a bit too sore and contracting to formulate a protest right then.
The only disappointing part was being scheduled for an induction on Tuesday night. It's disappointing because I don't want medical intervention if there is no medical reason for it. My MW only scheduled it because she is going on vacation next Friday and she wants her delivered before she goes.
So, the plan is I go in at 11pm Tuesday night, get a dose of prostaglandin (sp?), antibiotics for the Group B strep and a sleeping pill so I can get some rest. Then, I will get a second dose of the prostaglandin. If that doesn't work, she will break my waters, then onto pitocin, etc.
But, I am feeling very optimistic that my LO will make an appearance this weekend. I've been talking to her and I think she's listening because of all the cramping and contractions I've had all day.
Hopefully, all of the overcooked babies will make an appearance this weekend! Good luck, ladies!
