Can I have a panic please?

OK, I'm sure you ladies don't mind having a listen to me. Fingers crossed anyway.

Had antenatal classes last week and now I'm completely confuddled. M/w said that we'll probably have a few false alarms when we go into labour. But I don't want any! As a lot of you will know, OH works in London Mon to Fri and so I either need to very definitely go into labour during the week or better still at the weekend when he's home anyway.
And I suppose to know you're def in labour you should wait till contractions are thick and fast but then I can't leave it too late for him to get on a train home. So now I'm panicking. I realise there's nothing I can do and that it's a good while away anyway but still. If I really think about it I even start breathing rapidly...so stupid I know.
I'm hoping I'm not just stressed about birth and that this panicky stage will pass once I've gotten married on Monday. Maybe the nerves are wedding jitters? I've been really up and down about it this week. I think it doesn't help that OH is out for a bit of a bender tonight (I've told him to make his stag do!) and I'm at home with Big Brother. I feel the need to get sloshed!
Well, I'm off to London tomorrow and he's meeting me at King's X and then we're off to hotel. So I really need to get packed tonight but I can't get myself motivated.
Oh god, what a load of drivel I've typed......someone please sort me out...and of course wish me luck for Monday!

Congrats on getting married! And try not to worry yourself about the labour. It will do you nothing but do your head in.

Congratulations!!! This sounds like a pretty interesting year in your life I have the same worries sometimes about being alone when I go into labor because sometimes OH has things to take care of and we're so close to the due date!!! I hope everything works out for you though and when the time comes, it's the right time for both you and hubby to see your little one coming into the world.. Congratulations again and try not to stress.. This should be the happiest time of your life hugs:

Congrats on your marriage. You've got a full plate!

I think the main thing about real labor to remember is that it will not stop no matter what you do. So, if you think things are starting, drink a lot of water, lie down, take a warm bath, relax and see if they go away or slow down. The more upset/stressed you get, the more likely things will stay geared up and you won't be able to tell if its the real thing. Also, first labors are usually not short labors so he will have time to get to you.

Good luck with everything!
