| Did it take u longer than 9 months 2 get pg? Hey my lovely bumpy ladies! Am visiting from TTC section. I think got me today (dat's OK, have holybops next week so means I can drink lots of cocktails!) but it means we've reached the 9-month milestone. Blood tests reveal I'm Oing and hubby's sperm tests came back fine. Won't get further tests until we reach the year milestone.
Anyways, any gals out there who tried more than 9 months? If so, why'd you think / know it took you that long to fall PG? And do you think you did something different that made u eventually fall PG?
Thanks gals. xx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | It did not take me 9 months (5-ish I think) but just wanted to say hang in there. I have known many, many people for whom it took a year or more to get pg. In most cases, they seemed to attribute to the stress of "trying". Only because when all of them finally gave up trying or went on vacation, they got pg. So maybe plan yourself a nice trip But also, I don't know if you are using ovulation kits or anything, but I would not rely on them. With my first we got pg on our honeymoon. I knew when I ovulated that month and so I *KNEW* there was no way on God's green earth we could pg on our honeymoon because I was so far out of the range of fertilization...well, my son is proof that we don't always know what we think we know. So if you use the kit, I would still DTD at other times just in case your body works a little different. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | It took us a little over a year. I think it had to do with me being on birth control for so long because once I got off the pill, my periods were very irregular and I had no idea what my body was doing. Also, we had some months where we didn't really try that hard. All in all, I think that someone upstairs knew when it was a good time for us. I hope it happens for you soon and try not to stress out about it. For us, it happened when we quit trying so hard. Good luck hun and I hope everything works out for you. |

| I was told 7 years ago I would never have children without IVF after infertility testing. I had not been on birth control since I was 17 (I am 39 now). I got pregnant without even trying. My OH and I were together almost a year when it happened. So, I guess you can say it took 22 years. | | | | Status: Offline

| it took us 2 years ! bf found out he had a low sperm count,
what i think helped is i gave up! having sex all the time and all the trying and obsession just got to me, then during december i was too busy buying presents for xmas and i told bf i wanted a break from it and that i just wanted to move onto ivf now, we also had a fertility app booked for january 30th
then i thought no harm in trying just the once that month? i didnt do any pg tests for ages cus i just didnt think it was possible
but it did ! and i belive in just doing other things to take your mind off it , im so sure thats what helped us
good luck xxxxx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I didnt have a period for 9 years and was basically told to forget it. When I met Mark we talked about it straight away, got referred for tests and 3 months later I was preg. Explanation..... I dont know, still dont understand it. I guess if and when its meant to happen it will happen.
Good luck x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I wasnt TTC.... but wasnt ..lets say taking precautions as I came off the injection over a year before hand!! All that time without contraception but I suppose with the injection it stays in your system!!!
Although i also think back to the reasons I went on the injection in the first place... since being with my OH (from 18 ) I was absolutely terrible at taking the pill!! really didnt bother!! Worried me to the point... maybe I cant get preg!!!
I guess what Im trying to say is that it can take along time lol... and the fact we conceived whilst on holiday i think had a lot to do with it .... no stress element!!!
Hope you get your BFP soon!! |
