started to pack hospital bag


hi girlies,
ive started packing mine and babys hospital bag. i went shopping for my one yesterday.
do you think i have got everything?

MY BAG.
packed:
* tankini top (hoping for a water birth)
* 5 pairs of dark nickers
* 4 pairs of socks (2 thick, 2 thin)
* slippers
* PJ bottoms
* 20 breast pads
* watch with a second hand to time contractions
* classical music CD
* deoderant
* hairbrush
* hairbands
* 28 maternity pads (Always Maxi)
* shampoo + conditioner
* lip balm
* toothpaste + toothbrush
* flannel
* soap
still to pack: (ive got these but not yet packed)
* massage oil
* snacks
* camera + batteries
* CD player + batteroes
* PJ top
* 2 dark towels
* dressing gown
* coins for parking + phone.

What snacks should i pack?

BABYs BAG.
packed:

* 2x 4oz bottles
* 2x scratch mits
* 2x booties
* 4x socks
* 1x hooded towel
* 1x cardigan
* coming home outfit (sleepsuit, vest, hat + bib)
* coat
* 1 pack of nappies
* cotton wool
* baby wipes
* milk formula
* car seat, obviously.

still to pack: (got these but need to be ironed)
* 4 sleepsuits ( 2 up to 7 1/2lbs + 2 up to 9lbs)
* 4 vests (newborn)
* bibs
* blanket

how many bibs will i need?

Sounds like you just about got it! I would also pack ALOT of change for vending machines, parking etc. and at least 3 water bottles, if not more. You should get something that is a high energy snack in the event of a long labour, I packed some pudding, nutri-grain bars etc.

* Birth Plan
* Hospital Notes
* Nighty
* Socks
* Slippers
* Mints
* Lollypops/Sweets (cause of dry mouth)
* Lip Balm
* Sugary Snacks and Drinks
* Magazines (incase LO decides to take his time)
* Cooling Pads (what ya put on your forhead)
* Facial Wipes

For Babys Bag

* Baby Lotion
* Cotton Wool
* Bibs (Pack of 24 disposable ones and 2Normal ones incase they dont let me use disp ones)
* Full Pack Of Nappies
* Full Pack Of Wipes
* A blanket/Shawl
* A Couple Pairs Of Booties/Mittens/Socks/Hats
* 3 Sleepsuits (incase i have to stay in)
* 2 Sets Of Clothing
* 3 Vests
* Top/Tail Bowl (aint sure if i need to take this yet though will ask MW)
* 2 Bottles
* Formula Milk
* Nappy Rash Cream (Just Incase)
* Baby Brush Or Comb

OH's/My Postnatal Bag

* Breast Pads
* Sanitry Towels (im just getting normal night time ones)
* Toothpaste/Toothbrush (For me and OH)
* Change Of Clothes For OH
* Clothes For Me
* Hair Brush
* Make Up
* PJ's
* Snacks/Drinks For OH (altho might put these in labour bag)
* Loose Change
* Mobile Phones
* 2X Disposable Camera's (1 for labour bag)
* Small Mirror
* Battries (Might be Taking digi cam aswell)
* Anti-Bacterial Gel (The kind what kills MRSA n such other bacteria)
* Bobbles
* 2 Pairs Of Disposable Knickers
* A Few Pairs Of Big Grannie Knickers
* A Support Bra (Supposed to be more comfortable after birth)
* Shampoo And Conditioner
* Soap
* Shower Gel
* Deodrant
* Hotwater Bottle (supposed to be good for pains after)
* 2 Towels 1 For Me And 1 For Baby
thats mine but i think i may be goin a bit OTT

i still have some stuff to pack ... but im not packing the baby stuff untill last minute coz i wanna wash all the baby clothes so they are nice and fresh

i wanted the massaging oil thingy as well... but im not sure which oils to get and where from ... anyone know ??

Trisha, i dont think your going over the top at all.
the hospital im going to give you 2 little bowls to use for top and tailing.

i was gonna try and pack all my stuff in 1 bag (a little suitcase thingy) coz i dont know if the hospital will be happy with me taking loads in with use.

im taking babys stuff in the changing bag but its not big enough for everything, the nappys,wipes and cotton wool will need to go in a seperate bag.
