i woke up in the night to go to the toilet and i had bad period like pains really low under my bump.

it didnt just feel like aches.

then i had lower back pain.

it was so umcomfortable.

what could/would this of been?
is it early labour pains or nothing to worry about?

Sounds like engaging hun. I have it too. Or it could've been BH if your tummy felt tight as you had the pain?

Are you still getting them? I think if it was early labour pains it would've gotten worse by now. You could always check with you M/W and they will probably monitor you for contractions and check for fibronectin and dilation etc. It's more than likely its not labour, but I've been monitored 3 times now (twice cause of my BH's and once cause of serious Heartburn!) and it puts your mind at rest!

My LO feels like she's breech but the MW has said her heads down and has been for a long time even though up until about 3/4 weeks ago her hiccups shook my whole belly. It might be that you can feel it through LO's back. So it probably is engaging. Congrats if it is When is your next MW appointment? When she checks baby's position she will tell you if baby's head is down and if you are engaged she will probably tell you by how much as well
