Anyone know what i should expect and how long will it take to from kick off to birth....i mean i know it varies but anyone have any experience if an induction takes longer than a normal labour? God im babbling and panicking now so excuse me if im not making much sense.
Also does induction hurt more than natural labour? sorry so many questions!
I am really looking forward and excited about LO but sooooo nervous.
I dont mind the contractions and the birth bit but its the bit where they stick things up me like gel in the cervix etc that is scaring me to death as my sweep hurt so so so much
I should be packing the last of my things at the moment ready but im trying to distract myself by putting some stuff on ebay
AARRGGHH!!!! | With my first, I was only slightly favorable, but had preclampsia... Doc used prostaglandin gel on my cervix to ripen it prior to starting pitocin. Got the gel at 7pm (had no pain or contractions)... at 3am my waters broke spontaneously and they started me on pit shortly thereafter. Had my epidural around 10 am and pushed DD#1 out at 3:30pm... so from gel application to birth about 20 hours but real labor (water breaking and pit) around 12 hours.
Good luck and lots of |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i bet your well excited! try not to worry and try not to stress if theres things that have to be put on hold like breaking your waters.
it may take a few days untill you hold LO or just a few hours. either way, it wont be long.
oh n take some extra pillows if you can. hospital beds are horrid! big bricks!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | Gel only hurt a little bit because you're checked so often that you get a bit sore down there. You'll be just fine!
Good luck and try to enjoy it.
