Maternity Clothes Are sooooo BORING!!!

So last night i decided i was bored with my wardrobe it was so dull and boring so i decided to go shopping.....I can still fit into some of my pre pregnancy stuff but there just basics....Anyway went EVERYWHERE trying to find something fun and funky but whats this......Maternity clothes are so BORING!!!

So ive decided since i only have 3 months left im going to lump it and just wear what i got. So now ive turned my attention to a new wardrobe after baby's born....I know ive got 3 months until then but I really need to go shopping....

Now I know im going to have to buy a bigger size…..Cause lets face it my 3rd and 4th bum cheek AINT fitting into a size 8 anytime soon.!!!

So Im Just wondering what everyone plans to do….Have you started buying clothes for once baby’s born in a bigger size?? Or are you holding off in hope that you can still get into your pre pregnancy clothes?? Or do you plan to continue wearing your maternity clothes??? Or are you going to wait until after you give birth??

I was going to wait till after I give birth but I think ill have more important things on my mind than clothes shopping and also the time and money aspect with a newborn…XXX

I'll stick to my maternity pants.
They're not so bad. Also got myself normal pants that I can wear now that aren't materntiy wear.
I will be on maternity leave and here we don't get paid. We get a small portion of our salaries from the government. So I wont be able to go shopping for clothes till I get my full salary back anyway. And these days all our money is going into baby so new clothes are completely out of the question

couldn't agree more! i hardly bought any maternity clothes. for tops i just bought a couple of sizes bigger (I am a 12 so bought 16's) and they have done me fine and i have really big bump. i bought a pair of maternity jeans, joggers and trousers but that was all. i bought cheap smock tops/summer dresses from primark at £2 during their sale and they are ace! i am not buying anymore. i don't plan to be this size for long after having baby.

i hope maternity bras will fit me after the baby's born as the ones i used before i got pregnant are small This should be the only thing i want to be big he he...
But i'm not going to buy a bigger size clothes. I'm going to ( try to ) fit into those size 8 of mine. And the maternity clothes ( size 14 , almost 16 ) will go in the box , well until i get pregnant again ( not sure when )

I bought some clothes a size bigger for my 1st tri so hopefully those will do, and my early term maternity stuff which I've hardly worn as my bump got too big too quick! I'd love to go clothes shopping but am gonna try not to go too mad until I'm a size 12 again as I don't want to spend lots of money on things I won't wear for long. I'm not gonna put any pressure on to loose weight too quick though - I'll just try not to eat too much choccie!

I don't plan on buying much more.

I have one off the shoulder top which I love but my bump is creeping out the bottom, so can't use that much longer.

I have this lovely summery one, so light weight and I wear it over a vest top, but they're my only two I find... nice.

I agree most of the maternity clothes seem to be made to fit the purpose and that's all.

I tried not to buy hardly any maternity clothes. What I did buy, I got cheap from Primark and Matalan. Not maternity stuff, but it works well. I'm not buying any new clothes until a few weeks after the baby is born to see what my body is doing. I'm hoping to get back to my pre-preggie size, but we'll have to see what my stomach wants to do.

I soooo know where you're coming from. Being a singer, I really wanted to still look glamorous for gigs, but couldn't find anything !!!! It's almost like they don't think pregnant women are allowed to be sexy And why the bloody hell not !!
Most of my maternity wear has been passed around friends and family for the last few years, and it's doing us all proud I firmly believe in freecylcing

As for clothes after....
I was a size 16 when I got pregnant... but I am now wearing 12 -14 size maternity wear !! I've gained approx 1kg so far.. and I'm thinking if I carry on like this, I will be in a smaller dress size after I have the baby, than I was before I got preggers.. so my old stuff will most definetley fit !!

* Runs to touch wood... as knowing my luck, I'll now pile on 2 stone in the next 13 weeks *

Exclamation

I bought lots of maternity stuff really early on from Mamas and Papas which are pretty good quality and they all still fit me now so will probably continue wearing them until i get back down to my normalish size i was a 10/12 before and i am wearing 12-14 underware now. Once i'm back to a normalish size it can all go in a box and stay up in the loft until next time. Maternity clothes are horrible but M&P's do have some lovely stuff!
