Question

Cervix Pain?

Well, I've been having a lot of pain in my cervix lately. I know that my babe is engaged but not sure what station. I'm having an ultrasound on Friday, hopefully they can determine more from that. I am so tired, as I can't sleep at night. I get up to pee at least once per hour-no joking. My hips are killing me and my tail bone feels bruised. I am always so hot and can't seem to get enough to drink.

I havn't had lose my plug yet (or not to my knowledge) and I am getting sick of not having any energy. But at the same time I'm super nervous about going into labor and I'm not sure if I can handle the pain.

Has anyone had pain in their cervix? I've been felling my babe punch down there for weeks now but this pain is very different. It's sooo fast, feels like electric shock type of pain. It's very quick-thank God. I wonder if it's my cervix thinning out? This is my first baby and I'm so scared. I wonder if this "cervix" pain is what labor feels like? I know it's not contractions b/c it only happens every now and then and doesn't effect my bump.

Anyway, I was just wondering...

this happens to me too.. I cannot offer anything in the way of advice, but just know you are not alone. I have an appt on Tuesday so I am going to ask my DR... I think it's just pressure from the baby sitting on our cervix. Sometimes it's so painful that I have to stop what I am doing and sit down. I hope it gets better for both of us. ...

Sounds like nerve pain. I think the pinching pain is the strangest thing! Definitely makes me yelp and stop whatever I'm doing! Labor pains are totally different from either of those. They feel like strong period pains starting in your back and wrapping around your bump and then squeezing down all at the same time, lasting for 1 minute or more and coming at regular intervals.

I get these "cervix" pains a lot lately!! It feels like she is going to dig her way out and then every once in a while...BAM a sharp shooting pain hits me in my parts and doesn't feel very pleasent. My OB told me it was just due to her being head down and descending into the pelvis...when she moves, sometimes she hits nerves. OUCHIE!
