When will it happen?

is it a case that the later LO engages the later it will be born?

I dont think it indicates that the baby will be born an sooner/later!
I have been engaged since 30 weeks (4/5) but my doc said that doesnt mean babys going to be early!!
It can occur earlier in 1st pregnancies (like me) but if it doesnt its nothing to worry about..

For a first they can engage quite early, at about 30 weeks but they don't always. Pierre was only 3/5 engaged when I went to hospital and was send home again on the day I had him. 2nd babies tend not to engage till right before the birth.

nope, you LO might not move down till you're in labour. My little man was early. My nan said she gave birth to both her children at 37 weeks and neither was engaged.

I was wondering the exact same thing - wonder if there's anything you can do to help get bubs in the right position - my bubs is head down but not engaged yet.

Got a birthing ball yesterday would that help?

This is my second and she's not engaged yet. I'm actually thankful as I recall that being the most painful part of my first pregnancy. It was so hard to find a comfortable position to sit in and I had a huge waddle, which I barely have at all with this one. Don't rush it, your LO's will be here before you know it! Promise!
