Does anyone know how long the Health Visitor stays when she comes to visit you before baby arrives???? Mines coming next week and i just realised i have MW appt same morning..... HV said 9.30 and my MW's is at 11.10 (only takes me ten mins to get there) is an hour and a half a long enough time? i really dont want to miss my MW appt, best bit is seeing how LO is doing!

i did a thread bout this not long ago as a health visitor is coming to my house soon and i didnt know why. Didnt think you saw them till after baby arrived. No one really knew why she is coming the only thing i can think of is so she/he can introduce themselves and tell you a bit about their role

My HV never visited me before my babies were born but her visits after they were born never lasted longer than 1/2 hour - I would think that an hour and a half would be plenty long enough, when she arrives tell her that you mave a MW appointment later on. x

I didn't know they visit before baby is born. Where I live they visit you some time during your first 28 days post delivery. My sister's baby is now 24 days and she hasn't been seen yet. She doesn't even know who her health visitor is and she a first time mum.

The HV used to visit on day 11. Does anyone else have this system in their area?
