Health Care Visitor

Hello all! I've been MIA as have been busy with the last week of work before maternity. I'm loving being at home now though and getting through all of that stuff that I kept putting off as I was either too lazy or too tired.

So, in my pile of papers, I found a letter to call a Health Care Visitor. I'm looking at the pamphlet right now, and I don't know if they're really necessary. What is everyone going to do or done already? Are you getting in contact with one and plan on one coming to your home after the birth? Is a health care visitor worth it?

Thanks for your help.

I've had a letter from the health visitor saying she's visiting me next week, i think this is to meet you before the baby arrives as they come quite a few tmes in the first few weeks after baby is born. I think its just to give you advice and discuss any concerns and obviously when baby arrives to check you are both doing ok. They go see every new parent as far as i'm aware i don't think its an option not to see them???
