Fully engaged at 29 weeks?

Just had my midwife appointment and when she was poking around my belly she said she was a bit concerned as she couldnt feel babies head! She then start poking around 'down there' and said the reason she couldnt find it was because she is already fully engaged

She said no wonder ive got pelvic pain!!! She also said that it was highly unlikely that she would move up again now and thinks that our 4d scan will be a waste of time because they wont be able to see her face

Is this normal? MW did say she thinks baby will be out before her due date but surely she shouldnt be engaged yet? Help!!

I had my 4d scan at 27 weeks and found out my baby was head down, she's been like that ever since. My 4d scan pics turned out brill too, so i think you should be ok.

With my dd2 her head engaged at 30 weeks and she was born at 31 weeks

but my sil's pregnancy, her little boys head engaged just before 30 weeks and she had to be induced, but take it easy all the same. My sil was told by dr's to take it easy and not do any heavyish lifting.

Im really suprised too!

Bit worried as mw said she definitely thinks she could come early. But her movements have decreased a lot aswell, ive put it down to the heat and hoping that it doesnt mean shes ready!

Thanks Mamafy - thats what ive been advised, to take things easy and not lift etc. She also suggested going on maternity a bit earlier than I was planning and wants to make my mw appointments every 2 weeks from now instead of every 4 weeks.

Nervous now!
