They arent really painful more uncomfortable, which is why I wasnt sure if it was braxton hicks or real labour.
I have never had braxton hicks with my 3 boys and when I ask anyone I know what they feel like I get told they are like period pains but never had a period pain at all so dont know what that feels like either.
With my first 2 sons I wasnt in any pain until I had to push, but with my youngest I went into premature labour at 29 weeks. My bump went really hard and I had a sharp pain quite low down on my right side which came and went. I never had a show and my waters never broke and I had no other symptoms of labour. I ended up on labour ward for 3 days in premature labour but in the end they managed to stop the labour and I went onto full term with no problems at all.
If you have been having the pains since friday night I would suggest getting checked over if anything just to put your and OH mind at rest.
