sounds like u had a show i was asking beacuse sometimes u can lose little biyts of ur plug for weeks if it was a big bit i would speak to midwife as ur only 35 weeks x

Thankyou everyone. I had to call the hospital as midwives not around today (again!). She did seem to think it might be the baby engaging or as a result of sex - but generally saying don't worry. Apparently the plug coming away is not too much of a problem but if the movements reduce or I get anymore pain, then to contact them. This not knowing for definite is so frustrating - and I am not even close to my due date yet!!!

exactly the same thing happened to me last week. A midwife said that i will be fine but to be wary that labour could start early and soon, in which case to call the hospital as soon as i know the contractions are genuine, instead of waiting for the old 5-1-1.
