Talking

My OH thinks... (sorry long post!)

... I could be in very early labour!!! Me, on the other hand, is not convinced!

Let me explain....

Friday night we gets back from his mum and dad's after having a BBQ and I started to get a sharp pain towards the top of my bump and my whole bump went rock hard. It eased off after a minute or so and I figured I just tried to get up off the sofa too quickly or something, so just relaxed back drinking my coffee.

But then again, the pain came back and Leigh said "That's been about 5 minutes you know, hey, maybe we'll be having a baby soon!!" I'm like, yeah whatever, I know it hurts, but it must just be Braxton Hicks but painful with it (as when I've had BH before, they make my bump all hard but never with any pain)

So I takes a couple of paracetamol and we both go off to bed.... and after lying there for about an hour or so, I get so used to the pain that I manage to fall asleep.... getting up about 5 or 6 times for a wee, and each time the pain's still coming and going.

When I got up yesterday, I had a quite bit diarrhoea (sorry, TMI) but as for the pains, it wasn't too bad, so we nipped into town for a couple of things, were only there about an hour but by the time we got back I was knackered. And then the pains started again in the afternoon, but this time sometimes adding period pains to the mix.

And I've been getting these pains off and on ever since! And I cannot stop weeing and er... t'other end too!! I can tell Beany had dropped down a bit more, as I can now feel pressure "down there" a lot more... She is moving around loads, and I've had no other symptoms, so as far as I'm concerned it's just braxton hicks... but Leigh is adamant that this the start of something!!!

And bless him, he wants to "give me a probing" (to use his exact words!!!) to find out for sure!!! PMSL!!!!!

The pains aren't really that bad tbh (well, compared to how I expect labour to feel like!! ). They were every 5-10 mins at first on Friday night, but since then they are pretty sporadic.... sometimes a couple in 30 mins, then nothing for a couple of hours.

I'm 150% certain this isn't "it", but just trying to convince Leigh is the problem! Bless him!

I've got my check at the hospital on Friday (cuz of measuring BIG!!) so I guess we'll know more then... besides, I've not had any other signs like a show or waters etc...

I am a worry wart...but if I was you, I would call my Dr. Because honestly (just based on what I've heard and read) it sounds like you are in premature labor!!!

I would definatly call your midwife or labour ward. From what you have said it could be premature labour. I felt exactly the same with my youngest son when I went into premature labour at 29 weeks, and didnt have a show and waters never broke.

Well, when I saw my MW on Tuesday I was exactly 33 weeks, but measuring 38 weeks.

I haven't had any pains now for 3-4 hours, so I really don't think it's labour at all! But I may give my MW a call tomorrow for a chat if it carries on. And like I say, I've got my appointment at the hospital on Friday anyway and there's also my ante-natal class on Thursday night so i can even have a chat with the midwife then!!

But tomorrow, I'm going to make sure I've got my bag all sorted and get some stuff washed just in case!!

Well I'm STILL getting these sodding pains, although not in any particular pattern... and I swear to God she's trying to crawl out of me "down there" - a few times today I felt something "odd" in that region (only way i can describe it without TMI!!!)

... add that to how stupidly hot it is today, and I'm about ready to scream!!!

FFS You little madam.... just calm down and leave me alone - at least til I've been to the hospital on Friday!!
