pepperflake said everything i would have said, i was very upset at being diagnosed but seriously it has not been so bad, i dont know if it makes a difference if you took a bit longer to drink the stuff unless you took like ages.. they usually are checking your bodies ability to lower your sugar levels after eating something sugary.

I also read that depending on how serious ur gd is they usually dont let you get to full term & unduce u at 38/39 weeks??
Have any of u with gd been advised of this?

My MW doesn't plan to discuss induction until 42 weeks so I feel lucky there.

my consultant will discuss induction with me at my 37 week scan - depending on babies size.

Hi girls!
I called the mw as I couldnt sit around waiting for them to call me if there was a problem & thank god my results came back fine!!
I am so relieved that im treating myself with some carrot cake

yay for you! So pleased your fine! SOOOOOOOOO jealous of the carrot cake! wish i could switch my gd off for a hour or so

on my last few appts there have been traces of gulocose in my urine!
My hospital have also lowered the cut off point for GD.
My GTT showed a result of 8.3 and the cut off point was 9.0.. Now the cut off point is 7.8 which obv takes me slightly over!!

I am so upset by this.. had to see dietician and nurse today & they have given me that machine to check my bloods at home.

Seeing them again next fri!!

im been having to do the samething, just got to be cautious of what we eat sometimes it can be challenging thats for sure

It's just an additional worry for us thought isnt it??
And then we have to hope that it ges away after pregnanacy
