I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm not sure but it doesn't seem like your result was that bad. It was only .3 high. Remember, they like to be overly cautious with pregnant women these days. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I test before I eat breakfast (fasting reading) and 2 hours after my largest meal. My MW only recommended testing twice a day. Otherwise, I think you would also test 1 or 2 hours after each of your other meals. They will let you know what they recommend. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have GD too. It is realyl daunting at first but if youa re not suffering too badly, it is quite easy to control once you have your meter. I tested after every meal to make sure that what I ate didnt send my sugar levels too high. if it did, i would go for a walk and drink loads of water to bring it back down quickly and make a note of what i ate. nest time i would perhaps have less potatoes/sauce etc. Then before i eat, i would do a test and make sure my bsl is below the recommended level. It was all a matter of trial and error for the first week, but after that i had cracked it!
Even worked out that if my bsl are below a certain level, i can eat a magnum ice cream or a brownie, provided i dont eat for two hours afterwards.
It isnt all bad! Good luck with your testing! If you are grazer/snacker make sure your bsl are low before you eat your main meals. Here in the UK it is below 5.9 - not sure that it is in the states |

I passed the test and all throughout my pregnancy i have been drinking FULL SUGAR coke cos i crave it so badly, so don' blame yourself - it is nothing you have done.
I hope you are okay and the medical team will look after you and monitor you.

| Oh no. Your body has had so many hormonal changes and a lot of women get this. Some are more susceptible than others. | | | | Status: Offline
