hi sweetie

i got a letter awhile ago from my health visitor saying she would be coming out to visit me at my home two-three weeks before the baby is born just to go over her role as she will be my health visitor for the next five years of my child's life.

I would imagine it is just to meet you before the birth as it gives you a chance to get to know each other and to know what her role is so you can prepare some questions for after beanie has been born.

hope this helps.

Christine

mine wrote to me and said she'd be coming to visit and to ring and arrange a time...but I did...and then she never got back to me. I'm changing areas so I think that's why mine wants to meet me but I dunno really. My aunt's a health visitor, I think they're generally really nice and helpful and stuff so nothing to worry about

I got a letter yesterday, she's coming to see me next in two weeks, I think like someone above said, its just meet you before babies born and see if you have any concerns / questions.

Hiya hun

Mine came round about 3 weeks ago, 2 and a bit wks before Seth was born.

All she did was gave me a load of leaflets and the red health record for the baby to take to hospital. She just basically had a chat and got to know me a bit. Talked about birth control and breastfeeding etc.

xxx

Hey,

My health vistor phoned me on wednesday morning and asked if she could come up to see me on Thursday afternoon (today). She just wanted to meet me before the baby was born and also to introduce herself. She was really nice and just asked me if how I was feeling and if I was organised.

xxxx
