i read an article on this.... and there is a small percentage that dont ask if you want a seat on a bus etc for fear of being patronising!!

I was on the tube on sunday and had to stand.... just as I was thinking "my god.... no one is going to offer me a seat"!!
One guy did.... have to say though the oldest guy on my carriage.....!!!

people are so god dam rude

it's the same on the tube in London!

in the morning they are all still too tired from sleeping and in the evening they are all still too tired from work to get up and offer a pregnant lady a seat!!!

especially the fashionable young chicks with tons of make up in their face

when boarding the tube, I always had to watch out for the impair seats and had to ask somebody to give up the seat, not easy at peaktime though, were the tubes are full until the last atom of air to breath!!!
then you even could not have a chance to get through to those seats although they are right next to the doors!!! it is sooo packed that when boarding you have to watch your belly carefully (sb might run to the carriage in order not to miss the train, without any sacrifice and hit you right away!!!), so you don't have a chance!!!

ohhh, I could go on

fact is, the London City Job World is not meant to be for pregnant woman!!!

I agree.... I dont regulary use public transport and I do think like I said before people just DO NOT think or they are abit worried of being seen as patronising!!!

But the original thread at the awards ceremony was OUT OF ORDER!!!

Ooohhhh....I would have told that little b*tch exactly what I thought of her. And I would have raised some hell in the meantime about how selfish people are, etc. In a very loud voice.

One time I was at a U.S. Marines ceremony in North Carolina. There was a heavily pregnant woman that was sitting and waiting for her husband afterwards. Some marines started clearing all the chairs and told her to they needed her chair! I went mad and marched over the commanding officer and ripped him to shreds. Needless to say she got a seat inside a building where it was much cooler.

I am so disgusted right now, some people are so bloody inconsiderate, i get it all the time on the train. People just turn a blind eye and pretend they can't see you. It makes me soooo angry. I hope your pain has relieved a bit now xxx
