38 week appointment *rant*

My regular midwife wasn't there. Again. And I had to see the most horrible lady in the world. The door was open the whole way through my appointment and she took about 5 phonecalls in the time I was in there.

Appartently I have some protein or something in my urine so it has to be sent off to be examined. Ill get the results in 2 weeks. 3 days after my due date. Theres almost no point in it even going! lol

My blood pressure has gone back down though which is good. And the baby is STILL 3/5ths engaged. She refused to do an internal as well.

She had a look at my notes and saw that Im seeing a councellor and she said to me 'Are you feeling better now?' and I was like 'well... not really. Im ok but its not easy...' and she asked what the problem was. I told her that Id moved away from my parents about a year ago, and I was having ongoing issues with my real mum. So her answer to that was 'Well when I was your age I was living in Africa, I was there for 10 years, I had all my babys out there and I never saw my mum once, Im sure youll manage, you just need to cheer up'.

What?!

So I told her I was ok and I knew it was silly to get upset about them not being here because it is only 100 miles away, but she just said 'Get over it, other people have worse things to deal with, you should just feel lucky you have a healthy baby on the way because a lot of people don't have that'. And that made me cry.

She's really upset me! I can't explain why, but I didnt go in with the attitude of 'my life sucks, im feeling awful', I just need a bit of help lifting my mood... is it THAT bad to feel like that?

Also my OHs parents and Grandparents have gone down to the Isle of Wight to see him great grandma. Shes been rushed to hospital and think its only a matter of time. Of course we can't go.

Im in such a shit mood today, Im sorry for the rant. Just need a cuddle!!! lol

how insensitive. She is supposed to be talking about your needs, making you feel better, understanding what you're going though, NOT comparing you to others and making you feel bad.

What a cow. Maybe you could complain?

What a bitch, how insensitive it that, and she's supposed to be in the caring profession. I'll give her a slap for ya.

It shouldn't take 2 weeks for a urine sample to come back, usually a couple of days, where the hell is she sending it........the moon.

Have you talked to your grandma on the phone, maybe you could do that seeing as you can't go to see her. x

They wont let her use the phone apparently, thats why they've all gone down. Matts mum spoke to her the other day and got really upset because she was so confused, but theyve stopped her using the phone now.

Matt is really upset, its horrible. I just wish there was something I could do to make him feel better. He sounded so upset when he was on the phone before.

I am considering it, I think it might make me feel a bit better today to be really nasty to someone. So it's either Barclays or writing a letter to the doctors about her.

I need some sleep lol Im far too grumpy for my own good!

How awful! How can some people be so insensitive? You didn't deserve that! Sorry to hear about your OH's great grandma. Hopefully you will have some good news there soon. Hope you feel better after a rest.
