I'm Currently Feeling:

Hi

Just logged on and was reading this post - i think you should have Rich there for sure as he is the dad and it is his experience too - plus my best friend had the same thing with her babies dad and she had no choice but said he was so in shock in the actually birth he just sat there in the chair with his mouth wide open LOL and never said a word so you never know you probs wont know he's there either

Big hugs and i hope you get it figured out - by the way do you wanna switch mum's i want mine there as she is the person who (obviously hubby too) knows me the best and calms me down and she has point blank refused she says she and me dad will be there after but it's something that is for me and hubby at the actual birth

Toria, if you think you are not going to be comfortable with Rich there, then I would tell him that. I have already told my mother, and my 2 best friends that at any point in my labor, if I look at them and say 'get out' not to take it personally. I have no idea how I will feel, or what I will need during my labor. Remember this is about YOU and the BABY! You have to feel safe and comfortable for your labor to progress, and if Rich is not able to give you the support you need, he has got to go. Same goes for your mother! Good luck!
