I'm Currently Feeling:

I really can't pick. I want Charlotte there because she will keep me calm. I did want my mum there but after Saturday when I thought that was it she just got on my nerves with her fussing. Rich, I honestly havn't wanted him there since the beginning but he has always told me I have no choice. Some people might not understand me not wanting him there but he rubs me up the wrong way at the best of times. I really just want people there who will keep me happy and calm.

Ughh, I'm actually getting quite upset about it now.

have them all there on hand in case you need them or demand them all out if you want. Personally I didnt want my mum to be there, even if I had a regular birth. I love her to bits but i know she'd stress and I'd end up being worried about her, and she's not seen my private areas in many years so I'm sure she doesnt need to start now. I just want the baby's daddy - but then my DB doesnt wind me up, but makes me calm. He's like a big safety net.
But you cant realky stop OH can you - just brief him in no uncertain terms prior to the event to not stress you!!!!!
So it's between Charlotte and Mum....can they not take turns? like both be outside in the corridor? Ask the hospital if you can have 3 but only 2 in at any one time?
Might be nice to have your mum there at the time baby actually pops out (be nice for her, especially as you're young and still her baby!) but nice to have Charlotte there for support durng the hours leading up?....

Yeah, I guess they will just have to take turns.. Or, I could stand outside the hospital with a huge sign demanding they increase the labour room capacity?

aww hun

I know how you feel, i do NOT want my mum to be there but she is adamant that she will be there and is so offended that i have said i don't want her there. At the end of the day its a very personal experience and it's your choice who you want to share that with. It will probably be the single most undignified part of your life so far... so i would choose whoever is least likely to keep going on about the 'funny' parts because you probably really wont appreciate, or much remember it.

Hope you manage to make a decision and the other person isn't too disappointed. I have chosen my OH and my best friend as they're the two people who know me best and know what i do or dont want. I trust them the most to make decisions on my behalf if need be.

xxx
