Travel systems

Hiya ladies,
We're hoping to take Jessica on her first holiday (just to a holiday camp) in September. I know that they suggest you don't leave bubs in the car seat bit of the travel system for more than 2 hours cos it's bad for the spine. My question therefore is.. What do I do if we're out for the day? Will I really have to splash out on a new pram before I've even used this one?
xXx

* I did post in pregnancy club too but didn't get many views

Just wanted to let you know I went ahead and removed the one in the Pregnancy Club area. Hopefully you'll get some answers here. I'm not sure myself but am curious as to what others will say as we plan to take a plane trip to Texas when our LO is a month-2 months old

my travel system has a carrycot that goes inside it so newborns can lie flat. Don't know if this is an option for you? You can use the car seat for journeys and the carrycot on a day out?

My System has a carrycot to attatch too so i dont have that worry.

Couple of options.....maybe take a baby sling too and break up how she travels on the days out with that?

How far back does the normal seat bit go?? mine goes back practically flat and if she will be 3 months then? would that be ok?
Also its only for a hol/temp.
Maybe you could ask your midwife or health visitor when bubs is here to see what they say?

Yeah I was just saying to my friend I might be able to get away with pushing the seat right back and laying her in there for a while.
Thanks for the replies ladies xXx
