I asked my MW what else I could take today and she said Prilosec OTC and Pepcid AC would be fine to have. Said the prilosec would work better though. Just take it in the AM. Feel better!

You can have any of the rennie type tablets......i swear by them.
Rennie, settlers, tums, gaviscon dual action,or boots own brands.

I swear by plain "settlers" from the chemist, you get 3 tubes of them in a blue box quite cheaply. The gaviscon ones are minging!! really make you feel sick. Rennie are cool and tums are ok although sometimes the fruit ones dont help so much.
Hope this helps

I've been getting crappy heartburn most evenings now for a few weeks. Tried all the usual gaviscon/rennies etc... and found they were pretty pants!

Best thing I've found is Chocolate Milk! Works a treat!

For some reason laying on my left side helps with my heartburn (no idea why that is though)

Hope it gets better for you soon

Laying on my left side helps a TON too. Kinda weird. Soon as I roll to my right it's wicked bad.

Yes! If I lay on my right side it's horrible, even makes me throw up sometimes (TMI I know) and at night when I go to sleep I have to go to sleep on my left side or I wake up sick......not a nice feeling! Going to tell DH I'm not the only one as he thinks I'm crazy

I get it sooooo bad! I asked my doc what i could do as I was already taking the full dosage of gaviscon - she said there is nothing better and it is bad for the baby to overdose on gaviscon because of the salt content - so now i just put up with it.

Any magic cures, please throw my way!!
