how many baby vests and sleepsuits will i need to take to hospital with me?

what size would you take?
i have early baby sleepsuits and vests (up to 7lbs) and newborn sleepsuits and vest (up to 11lbs)

i was thinking about taking
2 vests in early baby and 2 in newborn and the same for sleepsuits.

is this enough?

I've packed 6 or 7 gowns in newborn size. A few hats and socks and scratch mitts. I think I packed 2 gowns that are 0-3 months, just in case.

Wow Mrs N you are organised - should I be thinking about this too!

The thread at the top of the page is good for what to take although not given it much thought so far!

How long do they keep you in hospital in the UK nowadays?

Over here if I have the baby in the morning, I´ll be home for dinner time, so I´ve only packed 2 body suits and 1 pair of socks, scratch mitts and 1 hat for the baby.

I'm not sure what to pack in the way of how many of what either - and as for sizes - all I've got is newborn size stuff packed in bag and if baby should be much smaller or (please no lol!) much bigger then OH will just have to run to mothercare for me and pick some more clothes up!!! x

I'm likely to be in for 5 days so I've no idea how much i'll need. I think I'll just take a few and OH can always bring in more as needed.

I think our hospital can give us a list of what we'll need to bring - maybe yours will do soemthing similar? Worth asking.

in the UK
my midwife said if all goes well you will be allowed out of hospital 6 hours after the birth.

i have packed 5 vests and 5 sleepsuits all in 'New Baby' size which is up to 10lb (mothercare)

The discharge time at my hospital for a normal birth is 6 hours providing both mum and baby are ok.
