The afterbirth...delivering the placenta??

Another question i got asked by the midwife is how i wanted to deliver the placenta...did i want the injection in my leg so the placenta comes out 10mins or so after or do i want it to come out naturally where i get contractions and the placenta could be delivered in about 2 hours?

What are you ladies opting for?? xx

With my first, I delivered the placenta within a few minutes of having my LO. The contractions for that delivery were just as strong as with having her so I don't think I would want the pitocin since it can make your contractions stronger. I plan to breastfeed as soon as I can which will aid the delivery of the placenta.

Don't want anymore injections as I'm planning to have an epidural. Hopefully it won't take to long to come out after the birth

i think i will have it as i heard it can help its removal and also decreases the risk of the placenta bleeding.

I had the injection and I hardly felt a thing delivering the placenta. I was so desperate to get cleaned up to make myself feel better that I just wanted it over with.
